I am a robotics researcher and life-long learner. I obtained Ph. D. degree in human informatics from University of Tsukuba in March 2023 and currently working as a post-doc at University of Tsukuba. I was a visiting post-doc at ETH Zurich from June 2023 to December 2023 and research fellow (PD) of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from April 2023 to MArch 2024. My research interests include but are not limited to human augmentation, human-robot interaction, mobile robotics, teleoperation, human sensing, assistive technology, etc.
Research goal: Use robotics technology to empower humans.

Jul 23, 2024 Our paper “Peer-to-Peer Ultra-Wideband Localization for Hands-Free Control of a Human-Guided Smart Stroller” was accepted by Sensors, 2024!
May 30, 2024 Two papers accepted by IEEE EMBC, 2024!
Sep 6, 2023 06/09/2023 Our paper “WeMo: A Prototype of a Wearable Mobility Device Adapting to User’s Natural Posture Changes” was published by Sensors, 2023!
Jun 19, 2023 19/06/2023 I start working as a visiting post-doc at SCAI Lab and SMS Lab at ETH Zurich!
Feb 11, 2023 Our paper “Design of a Multi-Degree-of-Freedom Elastic Neck Exoskeleton for Persons with Dropped Head Syndrome” was accepted by 6th IEEE-RAS International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft), 2023.
Feb 9, 2023 Today, I successfully did my Ph. D. defense!
Sep 26, 2022 Our paper “Enhanced Visual Feedback with Decoupled Viewpoint Control in Immersive Humanoid Robot Teleoperation using SLAM” was accepted by 2022 IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots (Humanoids 2022).
May 25, 2022 25/05/2022 Team Janus advances to the ANA Avatar XPRIZE Finals!
Nov 24, 2021 Our journal paper “Personal Mobility with Synchronous Trunk-Knee Passive Exoskeleton: Optimizing Human-Robot Energy Transfer” was accepted by IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, 2021.
Nov 1, 2021 I am selected as JST SPRING Fellowship Qualified Students (Class 1). The fellowship period is 2021/10/01 ~ 2022/03/31.! :sparkles: :smile:
Sep 27, 2021 I am selected as JSPS research fellow DC2. The fellowship period is 2022/04/01 ~ 2024/03/31.
Sep 15, 2021 My application of proposing a novel stair-climbing robot for a smalll grant is accepted by my doctoral program office. I am excited to work on this hobby project.
Aug 10, 2021 I started my internship at CNRS-AIST JRL. I will work on a topic of complementary SLAM for immersive teleoperation.
Aug 7, 2021 My first journal paper is published in IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics!
Mar 25, 2020 I got my master degree in Human Informatics, and will continue my Ph. D program.
Sep 1, 2019 I started my internship at LASA, EPFL. I will work on a topic of autonomous dockign system for an assistant mobile robot.
Mar 27, 2019 Team Qolo, was selected as one of five finalists of the Toyota Mobility Unlimited Challenge.
